certified ontario local (car)
... got our Ontario license plates today, so our car has now been successfully "exported" to Canada! but only after much teeth pulling and escalation to management in the murky depths of the Ministry of Transportation - an ordeal i wouldn't want to go through again. someone give me a prize for all the talking i had to do in order to wade through local bureaucracy! so, after much ado and commotion about our lack of title and unfamiliar TN paperwork - we finally found someone at the Ministry who could think beyond their Official PaperPusher Guidebook. phew! i thought i would have to give them my first born son before they'd agree to issue us plates.
yay, now hopefully we'll stop getting weird looks about the alien license plates!

i'm afraid to even find out the number of hours you spent dealing with them eeeks! i never have any luck with customer service of any sort ... but on the bright side u're all set!!!
hehe thanks for commiserating, mini! yeah, i went back to that darn office like 4 or 5 times, so freaking boliao... i'm working on forgetting this traumatic episode of my life, sob!
So...does this mean that you have a firstborn to offer?? ha ha Greg went thru all that in TN when they would not accept his forms of ID, every time they wanted a different set of paperwork verification. I'm loving reading your blog tonight...started at most recent and working my way back, but had to comment on the baby thing since all us married couples have to field those nosy inquiries all the time! PS - Sasha is expecting!
hi jp! glad you're enjoying the blog, haha... we're in montreal now, so there'll be more posts once we get back next week. ooh, i heard the news from sasha too! :-) but no, me and edward are nowhere near planning for a firstborn yet. all i had to offer the DMV was paperwork and my gift of the gab.... ;-p
