london, uk or london, ontario?
did i say we were going to london for the christmas/new year week??? a whole glorious 8 days in fabulous freedom away from work, woohoo! can't wait for the infamous Boxing Day sales, let's hope i have enough luggage room for it all... decided to splurge our hotel points and snagged a free room stay - wonderful location in Knightsbridge, just across from Harvey Nichols and Harrods. would never have paid for it in hard cash, thank you Starwood Preferred Guest!
it's been another frenzied few weeks - december is passing in a blink of an eye for me. it's the last push before shutdown for the holidays when nobody gets any work done, and surreptitious internet surfing for christmas shopping happens on work PCs everywhere.
we're leaving for london on Christmas Eve, i'm so excited! i'm not allowed to take my laptop with me, so says the hubby - so i guess i'll just sit on my hands and try not to think about work. haha, it's easier than it sounds... don't laugh at me, i'm a workaholic with no life right now.
no, but really, i'm very glad we're making the trip... one thing we moved to Toronto for was the (closer) proximity to europe and vacation-heaven in parts of the world that we'd like to explore next! shopping in milan sounds like a glorious vacation i'd like to plan soon. of course, one could argue we could just as well make the trek down to NYC and go shopping too... but having just left the USA i'm not itching too much to return just yet. besides, we're already speculating where the next immigration adventure will take us, hehe - UK, perhaps? (no no, we'll be in Canada for a little while yet, but the grass is always greener, and this whole immigration thing is starting to seem like a fun game, at least while we're still young and mobile)... sometimes i think we are just a little crazy.
